ARIMED is based in New York City and has offices in the boroughs of Manhattan, Brooklyn, Staten Island and The Bronx.

ARIMED’s personnel are experienced and dedicated. Our Practitioners are American Board Certified Prosthetists and Orthotists. We are accredited by the Board for Certification and are licensed by the New York City Department of Consumer Affairs. In addition, we have professional Orthopedic Fitters, Technicians and ancillary staff members. ARIMED offers on-site laboratory and technical staff, which enables us to quickly and effectively create and fine-tune patient care devices.

ARIMED specializes in all levels of disability for adult, pediatric , athletic, diabetic and geriatric patients. We maintain a large inventory of mastectomy products and have female Certified Mastectomy Fitters on staff. We are a certified Jobst compression and burn scar garment dealer. Our trained staff is always available for professional and patient education on the products and devices we dispense.

ARIMED services orthopedic, rehabilitation and diabetic clinics throughout New York City. We are both exclusive and participating prosthetic and orthotics providers at numerous New York City medical institutions.

ARIMED regularly exhibits our full line of patient care devices at major annual medical symposiums. Throughout the years our staff practitioners have been invited to lecture at these events.

Orthotics & Prosthetics

The field of orthotics and prosthetics ( O & P ) has evolved over the years into an important allied health profession. Prosthetics is defined as the science of external limb replacement and orthotics the science of external support of the limbs and torso. In conjuction with technological advances, an increase in education and experience have provided the knowledge necessary for the production of improved O & P designs.

Certified Orthotists and Prosthetists are a key part of the healthcare team. Orthotic and Prosthetic practitioners work side by side with doctors and therapists in order to provide patients with appropriate treatment.

Concurrent with the developments in material sciences for the field of orthotics and prosthetics is advancement in objective evaluation techniques. O & P practitioners combine their knowledge of the health sciences with materials science and biomechanics in order to care for patients with debilitating and traumatic disease. Our goals are to correct flexible deformities and accommodate rigid deformities, thus minimizing the progression of the condition and allowing the patient to return to normal daily activities.
